New Mode for Commander ideas

Okay, not really in the works, but here is what I propose to make the commander a much more important role in the game:
1) Commander is the only one who gets a real time minimap with players positions on it. But this wouldn't be the onscreen one, it would be the CAPS LOCK map showing his troops and enemy units. So no one would have the minimap any more...just the M key to stop and pull up a map of the area.
The Commander would then be responsible for relaying tactical information on unit compositions and locations (friend and foe) via radio to squad leaders who would then have to convey it via radio to their team.
2) Commander regains occasional UAV overflights that can provide data to his command map and sightings of units (friend and foe) which he can then relay to squad leaders via radio. UAVs can be shot down. UAVs recharge slower than normal.
3) Commander can airdrop some vehicles at a slow rate either at his own discretion or when called for by a squad leader. Air-dropped vehicles come in slowly like PR crates do and take a while to recharge or are limited in number.
4) Commander could be given resource points either allocated all up front or increasing over time based on the combat wins and losses that would allow him to purchase vehicles, arty, supplies, and UAV overflights. Vehicles would be dropped or spawned only at designated bases when "purchased". Sabotage or destruction of UAV trailers would not prevent UAV overflights.
5) Commander gets BINOCS so he can call in his own requests for ARTY on targets he can visually spot.
6) In case PR is going to stick with respawning in on one's squad leader, what about making the commander a mobile spawn point for all soldiers in his squad or not?
So, this would create an importance on the commander role. He would be the only one who could see a real time map with red and blue friend and foe unit locations. He would have to read that and provide direction to squad leaders based on that info. SL would then have to relay that to their team.
Commander could then call in a UAV overflight that once requested would take a short time to arrive on location (no more insta-UAV) and would provide data while airborne only to Commander who would relay important info to SLs then down the chain.
Commander would have resource points to call in arty on a target. No available points, no arty. Points could either be set at start of game OR build up during match. Commander could use these "prestiege" points to fulfill requests to airdrop smaller vehicles in the field or have heavy vehicles and aircraft appear at main base (or other designated bases).
I would like to point out that what I propose is not an all or nothing concept. If you dont like the resource point idea, then please give the notion of realtime map for commander only some consideration. As it stands, the commander is basically less or as equal in power to the squad leader. The SL can have units spawn off his location.
