I know when DICE/EA first mentioned the ability to form squads, everyone thought it would either work or not work is what it seemed like. And yes, it was an excellent idea, but did it work? So far from what I've experinced playing BF2, the answer is
YES For the most part, it seems like the success or failure of a squad really depends on the squad leader. I've noticed that when the leader takes control, the members of his squad will more or less follow his orders. For example, today I played with a group of guys in a squad of I think 5 or 6, all but one of us had a mic. And man did we cause damage, reason being, teamwork. Almost always if one of us got critically wounded, he was revived within seconds by a fellow squad medic. All of squad tended to stay near each other, usually within 100ft diameter. The way the mics are setup work excellent in my opinion, being able to communicate quickly within the squad gave us a huge advantage over the opponents, all in all, from what I've seen so far, squads are going to become a huge factor in BF2. Not to mention it's just awsome looking to your left and right and seeing several of your squad guys, then looking forward and seeing a little enemy running out in the open

Light'em up.
So what do you guys think of the BF2 Squads???
Also feel free to share any strategies/tips/or even good stories...
