Community Service Group - Plan

I find myself currently in the process of conceptualizing, planning and making a new Group/Clan for the Project Reality Mod, hopefully one that will not only serve the players within it, but the community and the players around us. This keep in mind that right now this is literally just a drawing on a paper and nothing more than that, and most likely will not go forward unless one: the community actually finds it to be a good idea, and two: it receives support from the community.

Since I've began my quest to search for a clan, I've also been thinking of making one myself, but not just one more clan, a clan with a purpose. I see veteran players complaining that the PR experience is not the same as it used to be, and that moments and events that resemble said experience are rare and scarce. Although I do not classify as a veteran player, I understand you perfectly, and I admit it is partialy my fault. Everytime nobody is making infantry squads and I don't step up to be a squal leader, I'm contributing to this mess.

But anyways, by this point, if you've even read this far, you're probably thinking I talk too much. Well, you're probably right, so let's cut to the chase. My idea is simple, create a clan with three clear purposes:

1 - Introduce new players to the game, and inputting in them the values of teamwork and leadership.

2 - Make leaders that will be able not only to lead their squad, but to coordinate with their fellow squad leaders and lead the team to victory.

3 - Create a mature, respectful and friendly player base and gaming envourenment.

"All it takes is a few squad leaders, willing to work together"

The idea is not to make closed squads just for clan members, but for every member online, to be able to always balance the teams distributing each other evenly, stepping up to the role of squad leaders and commander, leading both teams of public players into a good, balanced, and enjoyable match.

Of course this is a bit of an utopia, and of course it can't work everytime, but by making it a standard, you increase the possibility of it working out. I know there are some clans that already try to do this, Spearhead comes to mind, but I want to take this to a new level, and make a specialized group, specifically for this role, and hopefully making the game more enjoyable for everyone we play with.

If you believe this to be a good idea, I ask of your support, to kickstart such a thing, I need both commited members, and support from the general community, and hopefully even other clans/groups/communities and servers.

A well thought-out post and a nice idea. I think a lot of people already are trying to do this, but it seems to be hard to follow through and keep up the values you posted.

Thank you brezmans for your moral support, and thank you Wicca for you offer, I'll make sure to make use of it when necessary.

Right now I need commited members, once and if that is achieved, we'll move up to sort out our basic needs. If anyone's interest in joining, please PM me.

Just to be more clear, a lot of aspects about this hipothetical clan are already outlined and planned, I'm not revealing any details until I'm sure it will go forward tho. When I have a minimum of 4 dedicated members, myself included, and we have sorted out all the basics, I'll make an official recruitment thread with all the meaty details.
