What is your firewall?
antivirus?
router/modem manufacturer and model number?
What type of ISP do you have?
'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;1955836']
completely shutdown you're antivirus and then try to contact http://prbf2.cdn.ancientdev.com/hashes_1.0.36.0.prhf again, let me know if you can download

As I see you have "PR Version: 1.1.0.0" installed, your "test_airfield" map might be an issue. IF you have that map in your "levels" folder, you HAVE to cut that map out and place it back AFTER update. ;)

MacAfee has control of my firewall and my antivirus *Exceptions have been made for ALL PR and BF2 stuff)

Linksys (not sure which one)

Tim Warner Cable

I tried downloading that thing and it says I can't run it (Don't have program to open)

And what update? I tried the clock revert to get a update and nothing.

You HAVE to MANUALLY open the "hashes_1.0.36.0.prhf" file with the "PR_Launcher"! ;)

Stagger, Daniel made a mistake,

I was just wanting to know if you can download the file, you don't have any way to run the file.

It's just to test to see if your PC can contact the main PR download server and can successfully download a file.

Sounds like you successfully downloaded it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Let's move on to downloading the updates:

You need to download these files.
SAVE THEM TO C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\Downloads
then run them in the correct sequential order:

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

Code: Select all

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.0.0_to_1.1.1.0_client_patch.prpatch

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.1.0_to_1.1.4.0_client_patch.prpatch

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.4.0_to_1.1.5.0_client_patch.prpatch

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.5.0_to_1.1.6.0_client_patch.prpatch
So download

Code: Select all

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.0.0_to_1.1.1.0_client_patch.prpatch
, save it to your PC. Then go to folder you saved it in, double click, your PC should already have file type .prpatch associated with the PRLauncher.exe program. Let it run.

Then continue with the 1.1.1.0 to 1.1.4.0 patch.

EDIT: Updated the patch file URLS to reflect the 1.1.1.0 to 1.1.4.0 cumulative patch.

Right, so
1. It's your firewall/antivirus or router that is blocking PRLauncher.exe and/or PRUpdater.exe

So make exceptions in your firewall for these programs:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\bin\PRUpdater.exe

2. I tried to name those patch files by memory... don't mind me I've been too busy to help much this month. If you can get problem 1 solved, you should be able to autoupdater so don't worry about the rest.

I tried turning off my firewall and I am still getting the Error 75. I also have exceptions for full internet acces to everything PR.

Do you have a newer Linksys router? It might have a built in firewall...

Please read this post:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... ost1964005

We're really down to two possibilities
1. firewall is blocking ports
2. router is blocking ports
You might need to forward your ports to your PC,
I still think it's a firewall issue, it almost always is.

There was a small bug in 1.1.2.0 so there is a update patch that goes from 1.1.1.0 directly to 1.1.4.0

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

Code: Select all

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.1.0_to_1.1.4.0_client_patch.prpatch
Use that.
