Rally's too close to fobs.

Simple and short suggestion incoming:

Set a minimum amount of distance you have to be away from a FOB to set a rally point. Like 50 meters, or maybe even 100.

I don't know why this hasn't been done before but it shouldn't be hard to do. I guess I don't have to write down why this would be good, because you all (should) have brains yourself.

I think you usually see the two in a pile when squadleaders are trying to rally spawners in with shovels that are building up a FOB after the fact.

I think thats necessary. Although people should start reading the manual... Yesterday i saw a ralley waaay of fobs with around 10 dead friendly bodies that all tried to spawn there and got killed instantly. Dunno why tho, usually it teleports you to carrier (at least on barracuda). Was Vietnam layer.

Agree with op. Rallies should be nerfed in any possible way. I liked them as they were before 1.0. But if we're staying with 1.0 (sad, as it makes logistics somewhat redundant).

Agreed.

I did this alot, since some SQL love to just place it right on top of the darn thing.


Usually when I squad led, I just put the rally 25m away from the fob. I checked spawn menu to see if it is good.... if not. KNIFE IT LIKE ITS YOUR EX

A minimum distance of rally to rally would be nice.

Worse rallies make spawn button overlap and people end up clicking wrong one sometimes and spawn at main.

Need 50m, at least.

Yes. That happened to me about 4 times yesterday.

It really sucked too on Bijar. Since main seems like 1000km away.

Wait here is an Idea, make Rallies only you can spawn at, visible. Say you are in squad 2 and spawning at a FOB squad 3 set up, but put the rally too close their damn FOB. When you go to the map you see where the rally is, but only see that the FOB is spawnable. Think of it like this you see now where all the rallies are (for logistics purposes) but the white spawnable dots are only places where you can spawn. That way, Rallies can stay the same and people don't accidentally click on rallies and get sent to main.

There should be a 50m-100m Minimum distance between rally points and fobs. Do you know how many times I've clicked on what I assumed to be a fob and instead it was a squad's rally? sending me back to main?

Once the FSB is spawnable, rallies should be automatically removed if within 50 meters of an FSB.

We made some changes to address this problem. In future it will do following checks when you spawn on a wrong rallypoint:
  1. Is there a valid squad rallypoint for you? If yes, move there
  2. Is there a spawnable FOB within 90m? If yes, move there
  3. Is there a command post? If yes, move there
  4. Is there any spawnable FOB? Choose closest one and move there
  5. You get killed
The bold points are new. You will also receive a message informing you that you spawned on a wrong spawnpoint.
If you were moved you will receive:
"You tried spawning on an invalid spawnpoint, you got moved to a valid one"
and if you were killed:
"You tried spawning on an invalid spawnpoint, no valid one could be found"

Don't think so. It's easy to get transport from main, but it can be hard to get one from other side of the map.
