I havent any values but i think its very strange that all APCs (BTR, Puma, MTLB, Stryker ..) have nearly the same behaviour when you HIT them with a LAT. It doesnt matter if you shoot a MTLB that is like 60 years old or a Puma with your LAT.... dont know if it depends on hitpoint or armor but it feels wrong...

How its possible that vechicle from 1960 (i know they have up it) got more hitpoints than new armored transports like Pumas, warrior or VBCI.
You aren't factoring in the different materials.

As Rhino said, it's not just about hit points.
Regarding Merkava, the 50hp more are due to its giantness (Namer and merkava have same main body btw). Mats are same on all modern other MBTs though.

Ghostfool:
if you send me a valid video which confirms your claim that would be helpful.
Because apart of the apc tracks they shouldn't have the same armor.

IDF is mainly known for their tanks.

Aren't they the biggest tank in modern times?

Merkava is one of the best tanks of all time ! I'm pretty sure it deserves more hit points than other MBTs.

According to your extensive knowledge on the subject matter and all the data that you have analysed through all these years?

It being very heavy isn't the same as it being the best tank, which is what I was referring to.

the merkava is a tank that gives mobility for armor and protection, which makes it easy for anti-tank crews to track one and finish it off, not much of a difference but yet that is a disadvantage, also putting the tank's engine in the front and leaving the rear with a hatch would make a rear hit even more fatal for the crew

there's no vehicle that is un-touchable but the Israeli's do care alot about their armor and protection

This.
Also if I am not mistaking the Merkava is the best armored tank these days and it is huge so I think those 50 are okay with it, and even though, its a big target and there is no chance you will not miss it, you can blow it up fast, I don't see any problem here with those 50hp.
