Yes it is possible and shouldnt require any specific tools. Just go to the desired weapon in the file system (for example "/content/weapons_server.zip/weapons/handheld/usrif_m16a4/Animations/1p") and replace the the sprint animation (1p_m16a4_sprint.baf) with the .baf file of the animation you like. The file needs to have the same name as before.
This will replace the first person sprint animations. It is possible that the animation you chose does not fit the weapon and possible hand placements could be in the wrong place. If that bothers you, you will have to edit the animations which will be more complicated.
Is there any specific reason you want to replace the animations? I think PR ones are superior to most other mods :)

Keep in mind other animations may not fit the weapon at all (most likely ;) ). In that case, you do need tooling, as you would need to fix up the animations.

Sure they are, but I think that they dont fit into BF2 vanilla gameplay because they are pretty long and do not fit the ''Action'' style.

If you only want shorter reload times etc., you might want to have a look at this thread: Making weapons animations play faster/slower - Battlefield SinglePlayer Forum

Note that if you don't have Sound Forge or a similar program, you can also edit the value for ObjectTemplate.pitch for the related sounds in the weapon's .tweak file until it matches up.

this is the reason why i want to change the animation, i think pr weapons has the best quality but the animation is pretty long, im not saying the animation is bad, i like it too, but it can took 6s to realod
