v1.2 Shikotan Island not sure were is the tank

in Shikotan Island INS Standard you can spawn everywhere but is not sure were is the tank or were is the main and he actually spawn at a tunnel.

Spawns right there. You can either walk into the bid opening or learn the tunnels that you spawn in, as there is a way to get to that from the tunnels.

i know that but the problem is it a stage place to spawn, it should be at some were the repair stations it was really difficult to figure it out since we cant see hes icon in the spawn screen, until we face it our team get rolled by the enemy apc, also the T-90 is not a bit to strong to this map? the T-62 cam be one hit killed by the T-90, Russian should get a BMP3 or militia should get 2 T-62.

also adding this:

The tank spawn is prety bad, shold me moved to the repair station and add DODs on the tunnel respawn unles is a cashe spawn.

Yeah, I agree, it was an error on my part. Next patch should have all of that.

Can someone explain to me how Shikotan Island is supposed to be balanced?

BluFor gets T-90 and BTR while Militia gets crappy T-62(really needs ATGM to even function as a slow ifv that can't actually carry infantry).
Too much open areas for BluFor to pwn militia(now with more scope because breacher gets them too).
BluFor gets the HIND...


What does Militia have?

Is it possible for Militia to get a MTLB(or brdm2) with atgm?

If it continues this way, I will replace the t90 for a bmp2, however the t-60 is only 5 minutes, where the t90 is 15. Also a big problem is the lack of DODs, which in the round I played mil might have won had it not been for them being spawn raped.

some general ins feedback to save space

caches are difficult to defend. i've seen two out of maybe 12-14 caches that i've defended that i'd classify as practically worth staying on. though one was amazing (north cache, cave network), the remainders were generally caches you could write off as givens. one did spawn outside in the central eastern village (kroboravodskoye), which probably was not intentional.

lack of transport. add some civi cars or anything with room to help with squad maneuverability? it was clearly easier to suicide and spawn at the intel in a lot of cases. that button is a no-go. walking 10-15 minutes to get into a defensive position is taxing and impractical, when the russian's are already pushing by the time you get half way.

the map itself is great. i think that the ins layer needs some tlc. like he mentioned above, you can easily encompass the militia defense, especially given the russian optic advantage. it's a situation where you hope for a good cache or two even, and the team needs to bleed it dry.

I agree with the above, the militia needs some buffing, and the russians wouldn't hurt too much from losing the HIND or something like that.

The number one issue was the lack of clear militia fixed-spawns... I was in A9 last night searching for the enemy fob, and I was being swamped by enemies, just mowing them down. I wondered to myself "why on earth are they so surprised when I'm here, it's like they're not expecting me" and someone on chat asked "can you stop raping our A9 spawn"... I felt pretty terrible. A DoD or a map indicator or *something* would be greatly appreciated.

Also, with the bunch of open ground and large distances, it doesn't seem particularly conducive to insurgency mode, although if it was against a more conventional faction with their own helicopters etc, I feel it may work better. That's just me though, I've only played it once on insurgency, so I'll reserve my 'real' feedback for when it's been played out a few more times.

There is just no DoD on any of the mains, including Russian main on main island.

Lots of "!r militia spawnraping rus main" going on everywhere.

IMO, the T-62 should just get 9K116-2 ATGM(for balance, with nerfed damage, of course; so it takes two hits at front AND side of T-90 to kill).

DOD has been adjusted for all layers, spawn time for the t-90 is something like 40 minutes now, where the t-62 is still just 5 minutes, hind is also a delayed spawn now. I might just end up removing the t-90 for a bmp2 or something.
