1.2 Game crash instantly after it started up successfully

Post by INVIS »

Hello,

since I updated to 1.2, I can't play PR because the game crashes after the intro.
If you need specific logfiles, please tell me which and where I can find them.

The PRLauncher Log doesn't create anything new, so I don't think that'd help.

Thanks in advance and regards

Make sure you have no background overlay programs running.

AMD has begun adding crapware RAPTR overlay to their driver updates, you might have that running in the background.

Overwolf is also another common problem.

But shut down any and ALL overlay programs.

Also, try PRLauncher->Options->UNTICK Fullscreen. Change window size to something smaller than fullscreen. CLICK APPLY.

Run PR to test.

Thanks very much for your answer.

There is absolutely no software installed which could put an overlay on the game (except STEAM, but it's not running), though.
I restarted the computer, I also tried your suggestion changing it to windowed mode, it keeps crashing anyways.

This problem came with the new patch, I never had any problems with the game before.

Did you copy over your old .con files?

Try PRLauncher->Options->Reset All Profiles Button.
Click Apply.
restart PRlauncher
->Options
Adjust your Video resolution and settings.

Run PR to test.

I had copied the .con files before, it seems that broke something.

Resetting the profiles now actually fixed the problem.
Thanks for the help!
