I know that the engine got no native support for it, but I was thinking here...

Can the PRLauncher mess with the mouse input on the game to produce an artificial weapon sway? You guys did a lot of incredible work "hacking" into the game with the launcher, so I was thinking if one of the coders thought about something similar before.

As much as I like the idea, this belongs to the suggestion forum.

I did not post there because I felt it was more a question than really a suggestion. Also it was suggested before and known as something not featured by the engine (natively).

Still a suggestion :p

I'll let it open for now, the Devs who have an understanding of the mechanics can lock or answer

Can't, and don't say FH2 does it cause they don't, it's just animation.

But it does have an effect on your shooting from a mental/visibility standpoint. Sometimes the animation puts the gun in a position where you can't see what you are shooting at.

I would really prefer a sway based approach instead of deviation. Having where my shots land be totally random is frustrating and "breaks muh immersion".

But is not possible in BF2 so that's the best you'll get, unfortunately.

Not in BF2, it just comes out from the center from what I remember.
