Did you print or save your receipt from Steam for the purchase of BF2? If you have the CDKey available, you can use this small utility to change your CDKey in registry:

Download:
bf2keyman.rar

So you think I need to contact the support and tell them to change the CDKey ? or it can be solved with download that you suggested ?

Very Very rarely does a Steam Key fail the checks for a valid key.
I think you might be the first person since Gamespy shutdown that has had this problem on the PR forums.

You can try getting Steam to change your CDKey, not sure what that will do.

You have to contact EA to change your CD key (below)

Warning:
An EA/Origin key is provided with any Steam purchase of Battlefield 2. This key must be activated to an EA/Origin account. Steam Support cannot issue a new key or modify the EA/Origin system in any way. If you forgot which EA account you activated a key to, you *must* contact EA support to recover your lost account.

If get your key from your Steam game library then you can contact EA that it doesn't work, and they may give you a new key. I'm sure there's other solutions though.
