Reinstalling with proper drivers

Post by PLODDITHANLEY »

About 18 months ago before leaving Europe I had my laptop upgraded by a well known professional shop up to win7 64 from Vista 32.

Recently I reinstalled everything in order to eliminate software issues with a problem I've got and I found that the professional that did the first install didn't bother with the manufacturer drivers.

So for example he didn't install the service control manager which deals with the turbo 15 per cent overclock button, eco, pc modes, OSD etc etc.
He didn't install a Bluetooth driver so no Bluetooth.

Basically he just let win7 install its own drivers alone and charged for it.

I find this awful that an incompetent amateur can do better than a paid IT pro. Its nice to have all my device manager looking good, but I also put on Intel rapid store which is a HDD program but not sure of its usefulness.

Moral: DIY with care and research beats lazy professional.
