Everything worked fine in Win7, then formatted and months later tried reinstalling BF2. Just goes to a black screen when I try to start it from the launcher. Tried running vanilla BF2 as well and same issue can't get ingame at all. CDs are lost somewhere so tried a BF2 torrent and used my original key, maybe that's the issue but I can't see why. Going to see if I can find my CDs and try again but anyone got any ideas as to how to fix this? I tried a LOT of suggestions from searching on here.
Would really like to get back into PR! Help me out!

Fourth reinstall is the charm I guess.
Ran to a good buddy's house and got the CDs, redownloaded all patches and PR, and tested running BF2 between each step. Now all I need to sort out is how to get SweetFX working again. Happy to be back.
