Trying to use Open Broadcast Software crashes PR

Hi, I've been trying to record my experiences in PR with this program called Open Broadcast Software but everytime I try to launch it after opening PR it crashes PR. Any idea why this happens or maybe a possible fix?

The thing is the you can only run it if you open the game first.

I've had no issues doing the following:

1) Run OBS
2) Launch PR
3)Alt-Tab from PR at any point, on the streams box (small box, bottom middle of OBS), right click on stream, properties, select stream then choose PR from the list, the top one if two are displayed.

That's it. Let me know if the instructions are unclear. I'm at work so am trying to remember exactly what the options are called etc.
