Maps poll?

Post by Tommygun »

So many people whine about the maps, generally, Nooooo, not Muttrah again. There seem to be lots of other maps around and map packs. Have most of us downloaded them or not? I'd love a poll to see who has what. Im also interested asking if all people who play PR visit these forums from time to time?

In essence I'd love to see all the other available maps played from time to time.

[R-DEV]Ninja2dan: Not having a spotter is like masturbating with a cheese grater...mildly amusing at first, but generally painful and bloody in the end.

Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

Operation Snowstorm and Northern Lights are literally never played. Might be b/c you have to download them separately

Also when I ask people about them they usually say that they are horrible and were in before.

They are indeed not played a lot because people don't have them. You normally have one server up at each time zone. You can't risk to lose another 70 players.

Why not add a map a week to the prstart program update feature...or are there copyright/distribution issues?

Good thing about mapvote is = democracy, bad thing about map vote is that we get to choose from the maps only admins want to play so in other words - democracy :P

Kashan/Archer would be fun if it weren't for viirus obsessively whoring CAS (or using Chinook guns as CAS) all the time. Like, really, you can take a break from the game for YEARS, come back, and he'll still be there. Irrespective of whether the ghosting rumours are true or not, it is certainly true to say that by relentlessly playing in such a mechanical and repetitious way, he turns an already unbalanced map into a pointless turkey shoot which is no fun for anyone else. Please viirus, find a girlfriend/boyfriend and switch off the PC for a few weeks!!!

The Iraq maps are the shining jewel of Project Reality imo. They're great fun when you go civi, and they'll be historically interesting in years to come.

The question faced by USMC of whether or not to hold fire to avoid losing intel really enriches the playing experience for both sides.

So, I guess I am saying that more maps with a civi option would probably breath some valuable extra life into the game.
