The Mappack:
Just like the the sessions before, PRTA is going to organize another 2 to 3 full weekends testing 8 community made maps! After tons of great and constructive feedback we're more then happy to anounce the 3rd and 4th session on the weekends of the 23rd and 24th and also the 30th and 31st. The mappers have changed whatever they and you thought was needed to balance out the maps and to make the experience even better than before.
Using GIT repositories and testing teams, as well as cooperating with clans and units and outside of PRTA we are very proud to once again present the 3rd and 4th session of the updated PRTA MAP Pack!

Three Full weekends of playing new maps:

Next weekend the first round of the 3rd and 4th session will officially start, the mappers listened and read the feedback carefully to change their map for the better. Asset lists have been changed, new layers have been added and in some cases big FPS increases have been made (e.g. Assault on Grozny). All this to give all the members of the PRTA community and the PR community a fresh event full of variety. Urban maps, Desert maps, Island maps plus Forest fighting maps. It's all featured in the community made mappack organized by PRTA! We again like to thank everyone who provided feedback in any way, on Teamspeak, the PR forums, the other communities forums and the official realitymod forums. We wouldn't be able to organize this in a proper way without all the great community members providing us with their time and feedback. Especially the testers who've spend lots of time to run the maps and see if every asset spawns and does whatever it needs to do, A big thank you to every one and each of you!


Overview of the maps:
Due to circumstances we let Karez offensive out, hopefully we can add it soon enough but for now we are featuring 8 maps.
Borovsko Bridge 2km Russia VS Militia
Temelin 1km US(60s) VS Militia
Adak 4km US Army VS China
Assault on Grozny 2km Russia VS Militia
Op. Dragon Orchard 4km Russia VS US Marines
Steel Viper 4km PLA VS MEC
Bamyan 4km US(60s) VS Taliban
Operation Sapphire 4km US(60s) vs ARF
The North American, European, and Russian Servers will all feature event servers for this mappack. With servers located far and wide we feel the community can find servers close to their location to play on. As always, the passwords for the servers will be released on the teamspeak prior to the event starting.

The password for the map files will be announced on saturday the 23th of May. The password for the servers will be given once the PRTA teamspeak reaches over 150 users. If that does not happen the password will be released at 1600PRT for all the servers! The servers will run for all of sunday aswell.

Get on teamspeak on the April 23th, when the PRTA teamspeak reaches 150 users, the password will be released.

Put the file into your Battlefield 2 directory, as soon as they ask to overwrite files, overwrite them and select to overwrite all. Nothing else has to be done. Make sure you do this while PR isn't playing!

We have reverted borovsko to old version with optic kits, no solution atm allowing opticless kits.

assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

No, just download the mappack when it's available and get on prta teamspeak as early as possible on saturday. The event will start when 150 people are on teamspeak (or at 16:00 PRT).

I was present on a sunday evening, I played Grozny's skirmish, Dragon KOTH and Sapphire skirmish and finally Adak skirmish. I had loads of fun, even if there were only like 10-20 people, we had excellent teamwork with great atmosphere without being too serious :) Dog fighting with choppers with some good psychodelic music was awesome. Operation Saphire map is rasist! Damaged carrier in Adak's port looks like star destroyer from star wars.

I will definetely be there on a next weekend - those new maps are epic. I hope those will become part of PR when 1.4 arrives.

I am not 100% sure but I think 'murica :D Great combats in undergroud levels :D rope is essential there! :D you can fall into the pit (elevator/ventilation shaft?) and cannot jump from it.
