Radar mode off in some aav's

Post by blayas »

As the fighters can turn off their radar in PR, I would also like a way to turn off the radar some AAV's who possess it , as the tunguska 2k22 , type 95 and the Shilka .

This off radar mode does not produce lock on targets but in the case of tunguska and type , would prevent them from firing the missiles , and as the Shilka has only guns to simulate the loss of precision for the exclusive use of optical channel can be removed a level of magnification of his zoom while with off radar.

Also in the future, can be modeled the `` saclos`` mode for tunguska with manual control missile in a similar way as is done with the Blowpipe AA(mclos) modeled by Rhino ( not found the topic blowpipe , if someone find post here please )

These modes of fire, are based on real life, some AAv's they can operate exclusively by optical means in case of need.

Aren't the Tunguska missiles infrared, and the guns radar guided?

As the fighters can use radars on huge distances I'm asking to make radar AAVs to have comparable or better characteristics.

No, the Tunguska's missiles are SACLOS, similar to the Stormer HVM's method of guidance.
