Disconnected from Server, still an issue
Hi, I just wanted to bring to attention that the loss of connection to a server is heavily affecting some people still. Are there any known methods to remedying this issue? I have tried switching the ingame connection option from between T1 and 256kb etc but it has had no effect. I have been playing since PR v.975 and started experiencing it in v1.2.

Is it happening while in-game and on all servers?
PR player base always been 500 during peak times, but not its over 1k or more, so there are issues because of that too.

Yes, in-game on all servers, but it was like this for me even before PR had gone Standalone.Cossack wrote:Is it happening while in-game and on all servers?

I normally play on server with which I get a low ping on, HOG's server has the lowest ping for me which can range between 16-46 and I still lose connection on that, I can play on the PRTA-EU server with 111-140 ping and still get DCed within the same amount time as when playing on HOG or Free Candy Van or CIA. A fix that sometimes works for me is to just restart my PC and I would be able to play a full game or two without losing connection but it isn't working anymore. Someone told me a while back to play without steam, TS or google chrome running, and that worked for a while but not anymore. This problem keeps forcing itself to come back and I can't figure out why. There aren't any relevant posts on this topic and any posts on this topic that I have found never had the issue fully resolved or worse, never.
I would like to point out that this issue does not arise for me in any other game, it doesn't even occur for me in BF2 Revive.

What is your ISP? I had this disconnection issue when I had Comcast. Eventually gave up and tried a new ISP and one year later, the problem hasn't resurfaced.

Simsone said there might be problem with QoS feature for router. Ttt turning it off and check if that helps.

Ya, disabling QoS didn't help. I use...I'm going to say it, brace yourselves.....Comcast. *gasp*Cossack wrote:Simsone said there might be problem with QoS feature for router. Ttt turning it off and check if that helps.
And I know that Comcast has been a big relation to this issue when it comes to PR but I used Comcast back in PR v.975 and v1.0 and I never had this issue. And like I said, this doesn't happen with any other game.
Could it be a wifi related issue, I do use wifi because my router is upstairs and my computer resides in the basement.
