Critical Error

Today my game suddenly crashed and I got an error message:

Critical error

An unhandled exception has occured. Details are as follows:
Prosessi ei voi kayttaa tiedostoa C:\Users\(*)\Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\0002\Video.con, koska jokin toinen prosessi kayttaa tiedostoa talla hetkella.

And in English: An unhandled exception has occured. Details are as follows: Process cannot use file C:\Users\(*)\Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\0002\Video.con because some other process is using the file at the moment

Further details can be found in the following file:

C:\Pelit(=Games)\Black Sand Studios\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.log

Please report this error to the Project Reality Team, and include the log file in your report.

Maybe try deleting the video.con file and try again? It should reset it to default, then you can go tweak it again in the launcher.


edit: try the following as well

two ways to fix:

First way:
1. rename D:\Users\User\Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\ to D:\Users\User\Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles-Old\
2. Run C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\PRBF2.exe once, you will get to main screen and says you must use launcher to run PR. Close game.
3. Start PRLauncher normally.

Second way:
Go to D:\Users\User\Documents\
Right Click the ProjectReality\ directory, select Properties.
Make sure you have Read/Write permissions set to ALLOW for your Windows Login account for everything except Special Permissions.
Click APPLY
