BF2 Patch 1.41 Stutter/Lag Remedy

Many people developed a weird "stutter" after 1.41. When trying to move quickly side to side, or sprint, the game would freeze up for a second. You would come out of the mini-seizure across the street, or facing the wrong way. ( Or crashed into the ground if flying). It was not regular lag, but something else. I tried everything to fix it ( Manual uninstall/reinstall, update Punkbuster-video drivers-ram-video card, clean out dust, etc, etc, etc.) with no effect.

After giving up and resigning myself to being BF2 handicapped, someone finally told me the real culprit. Around the same time that 1.41 came out, Webroot Spysweeper ( spyware guard ) came out with an updated version. This version does not get along with 1.41 and causes the stutter. ( I don't know why ). Disabling Spysweeper doesn't help. However, if you uninstall Spysweeper, the problem disappears. My game is running perfectly smooth again, no stutter at all.

my advice: dont use anti-spyware, just dont go on shitty websites and use a quality router.

also: keep windows installed on a seperate partition and format every 3 months or so, it keeps your games running faster.

Just wanted to say thank you King Rat. Uninstalling webroot totally fixed my stuttering. Thanks again.
