VOIP For vehicles

This is basicly a rant but i hate it when youve got a tank or APC and somebody else from a diffrent squad or LW jumps in and drives you round on a tour so i recon a VOIP should be introduced for vehicle personel. now im no computer programer and i bet it would take time but this would be extra useful and there are plenty of free keys you could assign it to.

In v0.5 both driver and gunner will have to be in the same squad for the vehicle to be active.
Use squad VOIP for communication.

It's been suggested quite a few times. It wouldn't work, unfortunately.

O.o that sounds *really* weird.. Makes sense, I guess, but breaks BF conventions in a not at all polite way. I do hope you have
plenty of eye-catching feedback for this, or noobs and veteran players alike will be hopelessly confused..
The more I think about it though, the better it seems. Hm. Will be reaaaally interesting..
So won't you be able to enter a tank with a non-squadmate inside it, or what? And the vehicle won't work at all unless two squadmates are inside? Which vehicles does this hold true for?

So say one person is in the Tank, and the other one gets in, and then person #1s squadmate comes, how will they get person #2 out?

There's no way to kick the #2 guy out, but we'll disable his position (won't move if driver, won't turn if gunner).
Not perfect, but Is better than nothing

Well, from what DB said, it sounds like person #2 will only be able to land a passenger position.

Person #2 will get a text message, will notice the disabled position and will have to move to another position or get out.
If he doesn't do that you should take the necessary actions against him (kicking, warning, banning, etc) because he's a smacktard.

Now all we need is a special anti-smacktard defence.

Yeah, like that ever works. Has a vote kick been successful even once in the history of BF2?

Seriously, I think I've seen maybe 1 or 2 successful vote kicks in several hundred hours of playing.
Wouldn't it be more effective to eject him from the vehicle, or stop him from entering the vehicle in the first place? Or is that just not possible?

How bout an option to kick him in the balls if he doesn't leave?

ah and yes, actually voip is short for when you use your normal phone over your dsl-connection - somehow, everyone uses it for bf2 and alike too

And to use it in BF2 and PR hold:
"B" to talk to your Squad
"V" to talk to the commander as Squadleader
"V" as commander to talk to all Squadleaders.

any sensible person woudl change that to an easier reach key. The mouse can be good but for me, i use "C" as my squad talk and "V" for CO, got to be able to reach them quickly.

i use one of my additional mouse buttons for squad say and v for commander say - mouse solution is by far the best
