ingame buddy list

i tried the 'search' function and didn't really find anything...

would it be all that difficult to alter the server browser to include an ingame buddy list? forgive my ignorance here, but it seems that if it can be done in bf2142, why couldn't it be done with the bf2 engine? it's a damn shame EA didn't do anything to fix this concern.

Having not played 2142 I really don't know what you mean. If the image in my head is right, wouldn't that just be Xfire?

That's really not modable. Many PR players use XFire which is like a buddylist and chat system for any game.
