Cannot hear in-game sounds

When I boot up the game I can hear the beginning intro, but from that point forward I cannot hear anything in the game. I can hear and talk to people in mumble, but all other sounds are void.

Edit: Changing the quality of the audio in the settings appears to fix this issue
