The point I wanna talk about that this is in this quote, is the rotor blade colision. Isn't there any way to make it more realistic? I mean, when the helicopter is stoped it has colision since you can glue C4 on it.
It's sometimes really anoying to see a cobra with it's rotors going inside a building... It's in a space it's not meant to fit...
Any way of making the helicopter go out of control when the rotor hits a static object?
Just add some actual rotorblades that spin? Of course, that would mean remodeling a lot of stuff. If I'm not much mistaken, you can't edit EA vehicles?

I like the idea, but having real rotorblades spinning would do bad things to the BF2 engine if im not misstaken. But there is a small area(about 1m from the center) of the choppers that collide with walls and such, and if that can be increased you would get the right effect.

Yeah, probably. Your idea is better!
And I think that this would greatly impact gameplay, especially on maps like Muttrah, where the helicopters can (provided the pilot's any good) just touch down right in the middle of a narrow alley. That's just not realistic. "Fixing" the rotorblades would force pilots to choose their landing zones more carefully, and - if it is possible to implement that sometime in the future - force fastroping into the streets.

Ive actually playing PRMM haad a few situations where ive had to preform a Emergancy Landing in a Building area when its shaking and Red light n all then after a Nice engineer has visted and preformed Repairs (was a nice Guy) and when ive tryd to take off the rotor woudnt move cause it was caught on something, was a LB on Muttrah Near Park so in the end i had thr engineer blow it after he just repaired it

I had to do something like that in a BH that got hit by a Grail (landed at Construction Site). Except the helicopter blew up by itself as me and my gunner ran as fast as we could away from it, trying to get to cover. It was a real action movie moment.
And I've had my rotors get caught on lampposts, etc. while flying low in to land at Docks. It was something like this: "Yeah, I'll pass close to that lamppost, no problem. My rotorblades will go straight throu-" BOOOM!

Considering they allowed PR to use SF stuff in a 3rd party mod (PR is the only mod allowed to do this, IIRC), it might not be the best idea to up set them but editing thier models...
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!

Nations at War has used just about every addon to BF2 since it started. They have all the SF weapons, all the EU weapons, all the unlocks and plenty of statics from all the official mods. I don't think EA really care, and I guess PR finally decided to take advantage of this.

Were they ever given permission? I always assumed PR just disregarded the copyright issues...
i downloaded the NAW quite a long time ago, and i was actually surprised that the had alll the cool weapons and shi@t, they even had the EU force maps!!!!!
