PR randomly minimizing while playing. OBS also in use.

While playing PR the game will minimize every so often. Interestingly when I alt tab back to the game it still thinks I have it open and so I have to tab twice to actually get back in game.

PR thinks I'm just alt tabbing to the desktop and back but in reality I am already looking at the desktop.

I do not know if it connected but I have OBS running at all times I'm playing.

Anyone know a solution to this?

Windows 8.1 64bit.

how many monitors do you have?

does this happen when you're not using OBS?


does this happen with other games?

there's a good chance that some program running in the background is causing this.. try closing any unnecessary apps/programs prior to playing and see if that does anything. type in 'msconfig' in search and disable any unnecessary start up items aswell

I only have one monitor. I generally try to close everything apart from OBS and TS3 but it might be one of these in which case I guess it is unavoidable...?

2 things you can try:

play windows mode and figure out what it is that's minimizing your game.. whatever it is will most likely pop up in your face in a form of a window or from task bar

download gamebooster and run it.. if your game minimizes, it should tell you what program is doing that

make sure you also have the latest windows 8 updates
