Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Finally managed to download PR on the fourth attempt due to my dodgy internet. However, after installing it I clicked on the PR launcher and got a critical error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
I checked the PR launcher log and I got this:
Critical Error: An unhandled exception has occured. Details are as follows:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Further details can be found in the following file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.log
Please report this error to the Project Reality Team, and include the log file in your report.

at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler)

I haven't a clue on how to sort this out since I don't know too much about computers but if someone could provide some suggestions I would be grateful.

Re: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
do you have latest direct x?
latest windows updates?
what is your OS?
go to documents
rename projectreality to projectrealityOLD
BEFORE running the launcher, go to root directory and run prbf2.exe
it'll tell you to use the launcher then

Re: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
I've managed to get the launcher to run but I have run into another problem. The launcher doesn't save my display mode choice even if I have clicked apply.

Re: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
I don't have that. Only file in 0001 is "profile"
I do have a video.con file in the default folder, worth changing that instead?
