No one's gonna buy that shit. After BF2, I think they fucked up the series. They had it well going. All we see from them is quantity not quality,

Booster packs are experimental to see how many strung-out ranking freaks are willing to pay to play future massive warfare games. The new pay to play model will be based on having to acquire the latest booster/update pack, to play the game on-line instead of the archaic pay by the month plan that most massive on-line games now utilize. Check this press release:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
EA To Acquire Mythic Entertainment, the Virginia-based MMORPG developer is in the process of being acquired by Electronic Arts:

June 20, 2006--Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS - News) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Virginia-based Mythic Entertainment®. Upon completion of the acquisition, Mythic Entertainment will become EA Mythic, a wholly-owned studio dedicated to developing Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs). Mythic is recognized worldwide for revolutionizing the online gaming space with the award-winning Dark Age of Camelot® and is currently developing Warhammer® Online: Age of Reckoning(TM) under license agreement with Games Workshop.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close during EA's second quarter of fiscal 2007. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Mark Jacobs, the President, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Mythic, will become Vice President, General Manager of EA Mythic. Rob Denton, the Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Mythic will assume the role of Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of EA Mythic. Mythic's 175-person development team will remain in Fairfax, Virginia.

What a shame DAOC was such a good game it was my first mmorpg I have had alot of good memories of it now the EA-nazis are most likely going to cheese the game up and officially kill it.

Hmmm... Warhammer online will be finally released. But it'll be rubbish and not worth the wait, let alone the monthly fees of EA are getting thier filthy mits all over it.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Yea EA will screw both game types up trying to integrate. It seems to me the commander "god-kid" in BF2 was to bring massive multi players in the game with the bf42 fps players (he rains down arty like Thor rains down thunder bolts at will lol) and that crazyass zoom in on any player thing man that totally ruined the game as far as a pure fps battle game like BF42 was.

OMFG Im going to cry. Dark Age of Camelot was THE BEST MMORPG this world has ever seen. Loads of fantastic memories and people. And now EA is taking them over. Excuse me while I wail.

Not this hate EA **** again. Get over it or ignore it. All the Dice and EA hate got old after Armored Fury.

Guess what??? Some people aren't reality freaks and some actually like the expansions and the original. I brought Special Forces and have no regrets at all. The only thing wrong was that I wish more people had been on to play it back then and it could of been more playable, but o well.

I am not saying that you have to like what they put out or agree with it, but damn, this **** gets old. Not everyone is you. Some people like a game you can pick up and play without having to learn much.

Agreed, theres no need for any more aggresive EA/DICE bashing. They have bought us the most unique fps games to date, and they are a big company to make money, they cant provide for everyone. Thats what PR is for ;)

Also notice how we are using their booster pack material? Were doing it legally so not all bad things come from these.

you know i bet if you sold prmm 1.0 on the open market as a mod you would rake it in, more so then the **** that eas going to force dice to makes rushed.

i dont nesecerily hate the companies just their lack of principles and their tendency to screw over all customers, with **** support and no care for cheaters glitchers bug abusers etc.

You people who say arcade - style games are the norm now are being too picky.
PR hits the spot right in the middle but beyond that there is only Red orchestra (so-so) and Armed Assault (buggy and awful)

You have to compromise I am afraid.

Oh and if you hate EA so much why did you buy BF2? ;)
