MEDIC!!!!: 1001: error connecting to server.(11002)

Good day Dev's,

I have an issue with PR, It has been playing fine up until this week Friday, I opened it up went to my online account and clicked Launch. The Error 1001: error connecting to server.(11002). Popped up.

I can run the offline account with no problems, So far I have removed the game cleaned the Reg and hard drive. Purged all the PR files including my accounts. Re installed and that error still comes up.

Pr is updating fine with no issues and works great except you cannot retrieve or create an online account. I have not added any new software to the machine and have not updated windows 8 over this period.

Your assistance would be most appreciated as I am missing out on some fantastic battles.

try making a new account and, without changing settings, try to launch the game

is there anything you can think of that changed when your game was working vs now? installed anything new? make sure your AV isn't blocking PR and is whitelisted (prlauncher.exe prbf2.exe and prmumble.exe)

how did you reinstall the game? it seems like it isn't prompting you to update to the latest version, might suggest something is blocking that from connecting with the servers

Seems like your PR didn't update? You are running PR Version: 1.3.0.0 while the up-to-date version is PR Version: 1.3.1.0


I guess that could be the problem. Also PR should update automatically, so was there any error message?

The report that I sent was from a fresh installation that I had not updated, It was the third reload I had done. I have not added any new software to my machine or changed any antivirus settings. It was working fine since January this year.

I have deleted my accounts to see if it was an account issue. The game installs and updates perfectly fine. I can open an offline account and play with no issues. It will not let me open or retrieve an online account.That is when the error pops up.

I have cleaned out my registry and HDD when I did the uninstall. there was no trace of PR left when I rebooted and re installed a fresh copy that I had downloaded. Are there any tools you could suggest that could help me diagnose my issue connecting to the account server?
