Remove bloody screen when injured

it's unrealistic and very so annoying.

Rather add the tear gas blurred vision and coughing from BF2: Spec Ops if you are critically wounded  Even that would be more realistic.

The idea of the tear gas effect instead is interesting

I was also thinking of increased weapon deviation time and slower weapon reload time when you are injured. Would those be possible?

We used to have it, actually. It was taken out (not sure if it was due to Dice being strict back then about using SF stuff in BF2 mods or if people thought it didn't look good)

Not sure which one looks better: the bloody menstrual period screen or I-hit-the-bong-too-hard screen

Agree, its kinda silly and unrealistic to "time" when the blood appears before you check a corner

And for obvious reasons I don't think DICE/EA are enforcing using any of their SF content anymore...

Perhaps it can be modified to be less fast, or less intense or something.

The tear gas effect is already used. We use it for the black&white effect when real low on HP. The problem is that it does not work for a wide range of people which would result in unfair advantages. Further does it not only give you blurry vision, but also blocks you from sprinting. Not that i am against that, but i am sure some of you would like to be able to sprint even at 75% HP :)

Agreed to remove this garbage. I mean no offense to who put it in but "blood screen SO REALLLLLL" is becoming an increasingly popular thing in gaming and I hate it.

Please, add something like blur, decreased vision. Anything other than blood, please.

a constant effect that make your lose FOV depending on the level how you are injured and the sides get even darker but you still can use your sights.

I like this idea. I think Arma or ACE uses similar stuff, but there is it for fatigue. However i would prefer if it would obstruct your aiming more. Wounded soldiers should not be effective at fighting.

+1 for that, a motion of going in and out, reaching the center of the screen from time to time, making the player unable to see for fractions of seconds simulating the blinking in pain.

Would be more aestethic!

Feel free to make a nice concept. Right now this thread is mostly "blood so shit" which is not really helpful ;)
A list of what we can and cannot do.

What we can do:
- 2d HUD when bleeding

What we probably can do:
- blur similar to scoped weapons when bleeding

What we probably cannot do:
- different effects for different health percentage

What we cannot do:
- fancy shader effects like the tear gas

Isn't the black and white screen a different effect for health < 5%?
