I've read a few other posts about this and haven't seen anything that helped.

Time Warner Cable, PC routes like this

PC -> Netgear Switch > Linksys E1200 -> Arris SB6183

Just an FYI if someone finds this with a similar problem, if you have an Arris modem it is the culprit of the problem. No idea how to fix it.

I have been having this problem also for months - and Im a network engineer for a living. Ive seen the posts about the Arris modem and Comcast's deep packet inspection. I cant narrow it down - its very random. Sometimes I can play for an hour or so, sometimes only 10 minutes.

Ive tried putting the modem in bridge mode and using my own router, attached directly to modem, messing with UPNP settings in both. Putting my PC in DMZ, turning off all firewalls or traffic inspection. No other network applications - including mumble - encounter disconnects/interruptions. Packet captures dont really help as I dont know the BF2 netcode.

Ive tried a Win7 and a Win10 (fresh install, no firewall) machine - same issue on my internet connection. I tried tethering my PC to my iPhone but that was so latent it wasnt helpful in troubleshooting. What sucks is there is no diagnostic information to point to the cause. Seems to be some kind of desync issue. I always disconnect and freeze in game and still hear mumble users for a few seconds.

I only have 1 choice for ISP. I could buy a new cable modem or maybe take my rig to a buddy's house as a next troubleshooting step . Sucks because this is my favorite game. Maybe have to wait for Squad.

Let me know if anyone comes up with anything concrete.
