Tweaking interpolation
Hi. Is there any way to tweak or even better disable the interpolation? Will I even benefit from that? It seems like disabling it may make my life easier if I somehow end up playing sniper or marksman.

Re: Tweaking interpolation
Disabling interpolation? What???
To me, interpolation is taking a grid like a triangular net and make a surface from it, how would that make your life easier as sniper/marksman?
Edit: Did some research, and I believe you're talking about interpolation as the method for making characters move smoothly by predicting their position based on a simple statistical analysis?
If so, reducing the interpolation delay will make characters move more jerky, but more "accurately". Higher ping = higher interpolation delay needed to compensate. So if you play with low ping, lowering interpolation delay would make you slightly more accurate, but not so much that it's worth trying since its a very small delay already.
How to lower it/if it's possible at all, I have no idea..

It's still unknown if changing usersettings does make any difference. But I remember the huge discussion years ago (BF2 era) when some guy changed his hitreg to a point where every TV would miss his heli and abused it etc.
It's obviously done from here

Nah, I don't think interpolation can make you a harder target to hit since it's a client-sided featureoldfagging_since_.9 wrote:It's still unknown if changing usersettings does make any difference. But I remember the huge discussion years ago (BF2 era) when some guy changed his hitreg to a point where every TV would miss his heli and abused it etc.

Re: Tweaking interpolation
When playing as a sniper even a small interpolation is one goddamn problem since you only have 1 chance to hit the target in this game. And a good sniper should always be able to hit unaware moving targets which is the deal we're talking about now.'[TP wrote:Olsen;2112266']So if you play with low ping, lowering interpolation delay would make you slightly more accurate, but not so much that it's worth trying since its a very small delay already

Re: Tweaking interpolation
I think you are talking about the interpolation of mouse movement, like when you move your mouse, each "bump" is too far. To fix this you need to set your DPI as high as you can for your mouse, but lower sensitivity through the mouse feature and also the game settings? That's another interpretation of interpolation...
