PR WW2 not starting

Hello all. I'm a new avid fan of PR when I saw it on Youtube. I downloaded the Standalong, and had it update, and successfully logged into the game online on my laptop (WIN 10). I downloaded the Project Normandy Mod, and I installed it to it's defaualt folder (BF variant) and tried installing it on the standalone mods folder. Everytime I try to start the game it gives me an error

ShellExecuteEx failed code 2

Wonder what I'm doing wrong since I would love to play on the WWII side..would be great if they had the servers via standalone back up. Thanks for any help, I love just watching the videos online.

First and foremost, have you installed Project Normandy or PR:WW2?
