adjustable sight for GMGs
One of the many nice features of PR is being able to adjust weapon sights for different distances, however i found that vehicle mounted grenade machine guns lack this feature.
Is this due to an engine limitation or would it be possible to add in the ability to adjust those sights too?
It can be quite frustrating shooting the GMGs when the grenade laucher itself covers the whole target area while you are shooting and you have to aim somewhere else to see where the grenades are landing.
Would be very nice to have this feature also for the vehicle mounted weaponry.

that would also be good for iron sights GPMG, like the FN MAG from Machine gunner kit, and for HMG bunkers

well I was thinking on very long distances like 500/600M, but, I forgot that the majority of maps have low view distanceviirusiiseli wrote:They barely drop, no real need tbh

Cant do it same way we do handheld adjustable sights as vehicle weapons have no animations. So far no one figured out a way to do it

Can't you guys have different camera positions like in jets, but here for the gun sights?

It wouldn't be possible to use the same way handheld adjustable sights are done afaik, but you could use the vehicle throttle (default w and s) keys for adjusting the range up and down and then use the mouse to put it on target.[R-DEV]Mats391 wrote:Cant do it same way we do handheld adjustable sights as vehicle weapons have no animations. I in fact suggested this originally when the Mk19 was exported but it was unfortunately overlooked at the time due to deadlines.

Yea could do that, but would be rather tricky i assume. Especially if we want the numbers on the iron sights to be correct[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:It wouldn't be possible to use the same way handheld adjustable sights are done afaik, but you could use the vehicle throttle (default w and s) keys for adjusting the range up and down and then use the mouse to put it on target.

Ye, tricky to do, and for the Stryker, you could have a HUD marker showing the weapons elevation, which would tell you its range, but have the camera fixed forwards still[R-DEV]Mats391 wrote:Yea could do that, but would be rather tricky i assume. We have no HUD variable to get weapon elevation[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Ye, tricky to do, and for the Stryker, you could have a HUD marker showing the weapons elevation, which would tell you its range, but have the camera fixed forwards still![]()

Mmmh, thinking out of the box:
Excample, Humvee 50cal:
Would it be possible to give the gunner pco three 50cal weapons (including maglink etc.)??
IDX1 = ranged up to 100 meters
IDX2 = ranged from 101 up to 200 meters
IDX3 = ranged from 201 up to 300 meters
For each idx, the view is different for the gunner.
