i just watched a mythbusters on discovery channel, it was really interesting. I missed the first part but what i did see was them shooting hi-power rifles into a tank to test the lethality of them. They used a M1(30-06cal i think), Ar-15(.223 Remington/5.56x45) and a .50cal rifle, i am not sure of the manufacture, but i do know that its not Barrett(Makes M95 for the game). apparently they tested low velocity pistols too, but like i said i missed the first part of the show.
the results were amazing, at a 30 degree angle and 3feet under none of the rounds hit the ballistics jelly they basically fragmented when they hit the surface. apparently pistol penetrated further but i do not know.
so... now to the suggestion, would it be possible to have like a dive feature. you know when u have annoyingg spawn campers(US side Gulf of Oman) you could quickly dive underwater to escape small arms fire and/or escape those stupid ******* tat camp your spawn in the lav.
it might no be possible due to the engine but that would be nice...

that all depends on the type of round used. most round are designed to split up on impact so it makes a bigger hole in the unlucky victim
.
Theres a simiular test where you get a bunch of plastic filled gallon jugs and line them up and then see how far you penetrate. From the test i saw it seemed the bigger the round the larger the spread and the greater the inital damage but the smaller the round the further it penetrateded but the first target wasent as 'mashed up'.
