More Mines for US in Vietnam?

I may not be paying enough attention, but I can't help but notice a lack of land mine options for the US on Vietnam maps.

The VC alt rifleman gets M16 AP pressure detonation mines (which is a little weird I guess but whatever), and the Rifleman AP gets (as memory serves) M18 AP command detonated mines. I've not played as Combat Engie for either faction but I presume the M15 is still alive and well in both (again, not used that kit).

Anyways, the US seems to be lacking victim operated landmine options. We were definitely using the M14 "toe popper" and the M16 mine in these roles right along with the M18. So why doesn't the US factions get them? Is it a game balance thing, or just something not yet gotten around to?
