Something to pass the time
While we are patiently waiting for PR:WW2 to be released, I suppose we get a little creative. We should come up with some really solid map introductions. The screenshots are great, but I think it might be cool to set the tone with a good map introduction for the fictional and non-fictional scenarios. Maybe later we can have a vote on who has the best for each respective map. If this has been done or did not work before, let me know.

We don't want to be so realistic. Should come up with something that sells better.FFG wrote:X team invaded (insert any desert map) for oil under the premise of securing WMDs

make it a picture of a tweet: "Many dead, including women and children, in mindless CHEMICAL attack in Syria. Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Middle Eastern Coalition, making it completely inaccessible to outside world. President Putin, Russia and MEC are responsible for backing Animal Assad. Big price..."PatrickLA_CA wrote:We don't want to be so realistic. Should come up with something that sells better.
"....to pay. Open DOD immediately for medical help and verification. Another humanitarian disaster for no reason whatsoever. SICK!"

Too much text for a tweet
But ye. Suggesting stuff is actually interesting, even though it takes a lot of time to make a map and therefore it is unlikely any of the sugestions will make it into the game. Sugestions can sometimes realy inspire me, like that one time somebody sugested to make a Rhodesian Bush war map.

Depending on the map, the tone of introduction or the version of the story might trigger a lot of people on both sides of political propaganda, you just can't escape it. You can't please both sides.
Things sometimes were getting very toxic in political debate section of this forum, up to the point where people asked themselves to be banned to not visit the PR forum at all(myself included some long time ago). You don't want to integrate that toxic political thing straight into the game.

Nuijamaa takes place at the end of the French invasion of Finland and Russia is worried about France attacking them next.

Interesting, I've never seen it that way. This gives me an interesting incentive to play this map now.Rabbit wrote:Nuijamaa takes place at the end of the French invasion of Finland and Russia is worried about France attacking them next.

Yeah that is why I was suggesting a vote, so that we can weed out the ones who obviously show favor for one faction. We have some people in the community who I am sure have enough knowledge about certain conflicts/factions and their political climate to write something not too divisive but still interesting.

Once upon a time Operation Marlin had a solid meme with newspapers detailing an Israeli invasion of Lebanon and the UN backlash.

Jabal- With Rising concerns about energy and global sea levels due to climate change Iran as decided to build a revolutionary new dam to not help defend its near coastal towns from sea levels but also contains a new desalination system to provide fresh water. A republican controlled us government sees this as an affront to its stance that global warming is in fact a hoax and has decided to invade and destroy the new dam.

At this point, that scenario would make sense.Rabbit wrote:Jabal- With Rising concerns about energy and global sea levels due to climate change Iran as decided to build a revolutionary new dam to not help defend its near coastal towns from sea levels but also contains a new desalination system to provide fresh water. Falklands / Goose Green : The Argentine claimed the Falklands again, solidifying the islands with it's military while claiming it was their right to have them. The British government did not want to look weak, therefore they sent some of the best they had to the conflict in order to maintain their presence, in a far distant land.
