Choose Your Weapon...

Post by Tactical Advantage »

One thing i'd love to see in PR is like random weapons stached in certain areas... We all by now have expirenced running into an enemy vehicle that you can do nothing about, what I would like to have in PR are pretty much one time use weapons, something like 2 SRAWs or Javelins strapped to the side of a DVP, so if you run across an enemy tank or something similar, you can hope out and grab one of the side, fire it and then drop it and grab the next one if needed... This is just one of the many possiblities, one thing I think we really need is a shoulder fired anti-aircraft weapon, so something like having a Stinger or 2 on the side of an M1 Abrams which anyone could run up and grab if needed. You could also have like Anti-Material sniper rifles stached in the back of Humvee or something which anyone could take if needed. There are many possibilities, this would make the game more realistic, and probably more fun.[/b]

Sounds like a pretty good idea. Reminds me of the good old days playing OFP and ambushing Russian convoys. So the guerillas could load up Urals full of Russian arms.

"No, No airbags for you!"

Which brings up the question about why sand can't be a bit more flexible.

Oh.... fun memories there. That's the only mission I remember from that game. Run down into the gulley, plant mines, run up the hill... get shot at A LOT. Took me forever to get that mission right.

If we include a 'terrorist' army, then we can do what was really done in fallujah and other areas:

Have hundreds (maybe not hundreds) of kits stashed in little hiding places throughout the map, and they have ak or rpks or whatnot, but with only 1 or two clips. run out of ammo, you have to retreat back and find another hidden weapon cache.

this was done in fallujah, if the terrorists needed to retreat, they'd drop everything and run through little holes in the wall's that they'd made already that could fit a prone person through em, and find their next little hiddens weapon cache and defend that area.
