Mapping issues
I am making my first map and I have run into some issues. Firstly I tried making colormaps ground textures within the BF2Editor and for some reason when I wanted to test my map out in game I got an error for missing tx_s0-s7.dds files. Then I was told to copy other colormap file and rename to s0-s7. I did that but when I tried to test my map in game the ground texture was black. Then I tried with bf2_paint and it worked until I placed combat zone on my map and after packaging my map in editor and launching it the whole ground texture on the map was just black. Then I deleted the combat zone in editor and tried again and ground textures were fine in game but I died in like 10 seconds and could not test my map. Why are tx_s0-s7 randomly missing though I have painted the whole map and set everything up like the tutorial says and also why combat zone makes my ground textures dissapear? I am out of ideas at this point what should I do to make ground textures and combat zone actually work.

Have you set detail layers and materials and saved compiled textures?
