binkw32.dll missing

I downloaded the 1.6.3.0 version, installed it, and it wouldn't run, because the "binkw32.dll" was missing. At least at first I tried to run "PRBF2.exe", and it threw an error.

Later ofc I found out that I have to use the launcher, but I guess it may be a problem for some people.

Copying the dll from my own BF2 installation to the PRBF2 main directory (where PRBF2.exe was) solved the problem.

I guess you should include this dll in the download to avoid problems.


For others having this problem, the checksum of my dll is

AFAIK 1.6.4.0 still has the problem.

It was fixed in 1.6.3.1. The only thing you need to do to fix it is updating the game.

The file was accidentally missing in 1.6.3.0. You're on an ancient version.

Your checksum doesn't match. Likely because we re-signed them, i don't think we changed it.
