Map Editor Crash

Post by LangMaster »

Hello there, i have found a new error that is poping up everytime i am trying to load Adak, i am not sure what is causing it, everymap is loading absolutely fine, the thing is sometimes it loads and sometimes it doesn't which confuses me the most, i wanted to make a coop support for it so i generated a navmesh and did bunch of stuff but upon making a navmesh for it now it just never loads, and i have a feeling the map maybe just too big for the Editor to handle it.

Edit: I have also found that the editor always crashed when it reaches 1526MB in ram.
Edit: i take that back, some maps have more than that and are loading fine.
Edit: Also when i load a different map, and then load Adak, it magically works, but saving the map upon that is very glitchy as it somehow saves the both gameobject files of both maps together.

Also if someone understands this dump file from the editor after crash, that would be neat.

Can someone explain what does this dump file means after the crash trying to load adak in editor ? it just keeps crashing and i don't have a single problem with any map like this but adak.

Something with loading SkinnedMesh shader. Are you using the new shaders with editor? I'm not sure they can work.

tech info: call to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... eateeffect fails but ppCompilationErrors remains null, causing a crash instead of error message

Reshade?

Unicode had the same issue 3 weeks ago. I analysed his debug output and his editor couldn't load SkinnedMesh.fx for some reason. He fixed it somehow.

the dump files can be misleading, what are the last lines in the console on loading?

Alright to your question, yes i lately download the newest pr editor, it did not fixed anything, shaders? i am not using any modded stuff neither shaders, also it crashes 50 to 50 there is a chance it can load there is a chance it can crash, as it seems to the more i swear the more it works, i have no single clue what is causing it sadly tho.

it tend to be random but it was always a staticmesh but it was always a different object, but yeah always a staticmesh, and it was crashing at different % of loading all the time.
