Dedicated tank/ifv commander seat

dont know if this was discussed before but may i ask if the addition of a commander seat to heavy armored vehicles was ever on the table, i find the current system really strange especially for a game like pr. tanks are usually just manned by 2 people and the mg spot is reserved for turning off the engine. is there a game engine limitation that prevents commander from being possible or is this just intentional.

Well I mean he asked a question so he deserves an answer before closing the thread.

is there a game engine limitation that prevents commander from being possible or is this just intentional.

I'm pretty sure not having dedicated commander seat is a nerf for the engine being turned off when the driver switches seat. However there can be counter nerf for this but I'll leave that for a suggestion that will never get accepted.
