Mumble does not open

Nothing shows up when i click "launch" on the PR Mumble page the PR setting menu or "show" on the Mumble app icon in the tray. Mumble creates new window in the taskbar, but no actual visible window. In preview it looks like a blank white page. Trying to click on it closes it.



I had this bug for a long time, but it did not bother me until i changed my audio setup, now mumble doesnt pick up microphone, and i cannot open mumle to fix it, rendering me unable to properly enjoy PR.


So far i've tried:

Restarting mumble during the game/starting it manualy outside the game - same thing, not picking up audio input device and cannot see the window.

Disabling all audio devices except one i need mumble to pick up does not do the trick.

Uninstalling Visual C++ runtimes, reinstalling, etc.

Reinstalling Project Reality completely - does not fix the problem, still not picking up audio input device, still cant see the window.

Updating audio drivers.

Returning to earlier windows restore point.

Any ideas on how can I fix that short of complete windows reinstall? (windows 10 x64)

EDIT: i was trying to go back to old setup, changing audio devices in the windows audio settings and somehow made it worse, now i cannot even hear ohter people in-game.

Mumble window might have moved outside your screen area. While not playing, open the folder where you installed PR, navigate to its subfolder mods\pr\bin\PRMumble and launch prmumble.exe from there. If the window doesn's show up but the app is visible in the task bar, hit Alt-Space. It should open a pop-up menu on top-left corner of your screen. From the menu, select "Maximize" and then drag the window from title bar to bring it back to screen area.

If you get Mumble running and visible again, then from the "Configure" menu select "Settings", press "Reset" and "Save". Then from the same "Configure" menu select "Audio Wizard..." and try different input and output devices until you can hear male voice repeating "This is an example of Speex, an audio compression codec specifically tuned for the reproduction of human speech" and on the next pages you can see your microphone reacting to your own voice.

Remember to completely exit Mumble after starting it manually. Even when not playing, Mumble will minimize itself to task bar tray area, and can be accidentally left running, which will cause weird issues after starting PR (don't ask how I know...)
