Reminds me of my grandfather's old trench shovel from WW2 that I still have. Doesn't fold at the handle but the folding trowel bit definitely looks familiar. Love it.

I have one of these and I hate this shovel. The tightening ring gets stuck constantly if sand is introduced into it, which always of course happens. But its pretty convenient for digging mine holes.
