As the title says, I’m just so done with how absurdly overpowered MGs are, especially the FN Minimi. In game, this thing turns into a laser beam when you use the bipod zero recoil, zero challenge. It’s honestly laughable.
Would it kill you guys to at least tone down the Minimi's fire rate to something reasonable, like 800 to 850 RPM? You know... like literally every other milsim out there?
Is no one going to admit how busted this is? This is exactly why I switched to Squad they actually realized how stupid this Boomer Kit is. It’s perfect for players who want to mow down everything without any skill, as long as they’re completely detached from both casual shooters like CoD and real milsims.
This weapon doesn’t fit into either category it’s just its own brand of nonsense.

The AR in this game I would assume has the same RPM as real life. Sounds like you are having trouble surviving son. It only takes 2-3 bullets to finish you off, won't make much of a difference if it was changed. Probably shouldn't peek when you hear it, or better yet simple plan to take it down.
1 man plays peek a boo with the AR holding his attention, then either naturally or intentionally by locating the enemy shooting making noise, somebody else the AR is not looking at can shoot the AR. Of course when its 8v8 its not always so simple, but this is for one AR.
If I start messing with an AR peeking out of cover trying to make him miss, hopefully somebody would take advantage of the AR who is exposed trying to hit me being distracted by me.
So somebody peeks, then somebody else shoots AR, you can't do it directly next to each other, spread or positioning of 1 man per piece of cover should also mean 1 man seen per enemy scope field of view.

1 Man per piece of cover, Move cover to cover. In view of each other to save each other by shooting, distraction, division of enemy attention and ammo. 1 man hit per RPG/tank shell/mortar spread formation full time. Edge of cap zone. Use camouflage, police up each others exposure, no man seen sticking out. Scan aggressively with eyes and ears for anything suspect, even for birds disturbed to fly out of trees

Doesn’t matter how many strategies we pull off or how deep we dig in, it all goes to shit if the enemy ARs are playing like snipers instead of actually doing their damn job. ARs are supposed to lay down suppressive fire, not sit back and pick people off like it’s a DMR. The way ARs and MGs work in this game feels more like sniping than proper machine gun support. No pressure, just long-range cheese. I’ve played with you plenty, and no matter how many sandbags we stack or how deep we dig, we still get shredded by some AR rat camping one angle all game. Not even marksmen or snipers, just guys abusing ARs with zero recoil, no-skill mechanics, like they’re damn laser-accurate DMRs.
In fact, the one missing piece in all your strats over the years is suppressive fire. The whole point of digging trenches and building sandbags is to give defenders the upper hand when laying down suppressing fire. But what actually happens? Defenders can’t even peek without getting instantly deleted, because of how broken and abusable the AR system is in this game.
