Cannot join certain servers (eg.: Alliance) without VPN

Since recently I have been unable to join some servers without vpn. Is this due to my Russian IP?

Playing with vpn or other proxy enabled result in unexpected disconnects or strange bugs. Some of them are honestly feel like cheating.
Like vehicle model vanishing while you still can freelook from inside, people/vehicles briefly flying out of cover, certain objects disappearing, etc.

Is this known? Would something be done about this?

It was about PR web sites not being accessible from certain IP ranges but it's quite possible that the same applies to many independent PR game servers as well.
