Leaning and Bashing.
The major thing i found disapointing about BF2 is the lack of a leaning feauture like in Delta Force or a bashing feature like in Halo. I can live without the bash because with some weapons it wouldn't be realistic but i think Leaning would really give a certain amount of realism to the game. Any plans on including it?

i think thats what your knife is for, most games that dont have the melee attack have a knife, most games that have a knife dont have melee attack. i mean my buttons are clutered enough as it is, personally, i prefer a knife better then a melee attack.

I like the idea of hitting somone with the butt of your rifle or the bottom of your pistol.keef_haggerd wrote:i think thats what your knife is for, most games that dont have the melee attack have a knife, most games that have a knife dont have melee attack. i mean my buttons are clutered enough as it is, personally, i prefer a knife better then a melee attack.
It would stun them when you couldent get a knife kill with one hit. then you can shoot or stab them

There is lots of reasons why peeping around a corner is valuable in battle.CobraPhantom wrote:Well when you sprint damn there as fast as a tank, no need to be able to peep your head around a corner
would you walk right around a corner or even crawl around one to see if anyone is looking in your direction?????

I'd love to see both of these put in... coming from Call of Duty: UO it was dissapointing that I couldn't fully utilize cover with leaning.
I'd also like to see sprinting (to an extent) sideways. I hate having to run forward and turn, as opposed to strafe. I'd like to at least see half the sprint speed on a strafe being possible (I know most of us can do that).

it seems so stupid that you can only swim in the forward or backward direction.

Actually, Im pretty sure the BF2 Special Forces Expantion Pack is going to include Leaning, so it's capable, lets see it PR. As for Melee, just pull off your helmet and chuck it at the enemy like in Saving Private Ryan, then whip out your pistol and shoot wildly until you hit him...

Re: Leaning and Bashing.
Not sure about leaning, but as I have said before, we do want to diversify hand-to-hand combat beyond just various knives. The bayonet / rifle buttstroke has been considered, as well as the entrenching tool. Soldier of Fortune 2 had a pistol-whip for secondary fire on their handguns, so that might be something to consider, also.BenBen wrote:The major thing i found disapointing about BF2 is the lack of a leaning feauture like in Delta Force or a bashing feature like in Halo.
