A10, Al Basrah, and hacking

Post by Smitty4212 »

After a few rounds of this happening, I've seen some VERY shady A10 work.

Specifically from -=OTB=-Saint_Patrick.

After him getting over 40 kills in literally the first four minutes of the round, the whole insurgent team was complaining of being killed while in buildings not even in a combat zone, being killed while hiding behind walls, being killed running through the middle of the city, all by perfect strafing runs by the A10 and him. These were not lucky, or from just spamming areas, as the strafes were nearly dead on every single time, even if you were by yourself.

This has happened on the Devfile Al Basrah 24/7 server numerous times.

It happened just moments ago, and happened yesterday. When I complained about it yesterday and attempted to bring it up, I was kicked by Maistros. He didn't want to hear any of it. Said that the USMC just had a "good commander". I didn't know commanders could see under trellaces, in fact I'm pretty confident their eye of God can not see under roofs or in buildings either.

Some screenshots of the places I was killed by him...

My personal favorites were under the roof in the Suburbs, by myself (the screenshot I took was just of where I was, we had control of the majority of the map when I was killed there originally), after hiding for about 45 seconds, and hiding under the East Bridge by Palace for about two minutes. It's possible that I was spotted hiding under the East Bridge, but I find it EXTREMELY unlikely... as for the Suburbs, unless the USMC randomly had infantry there and had repeatedly spotted me, or the USMC commander was randomly looking through Suburbs and followed me, I can't comprehend how he could've known I was there.

Yeah, something wierd is definately going on. Just earlier today I was on the Devfile, 24/7 Al Basrah server, and somehow there A10s were making perfect strafing runs on individual insurgents. I've personally flown the A10, and for the most part by the time you see anything you really don't have enough time to adjust and line up perfectly on your targets.

I wish admins would be more hacker aware and take random PBSS of everyone instead of waiting for players to report them.

hackers can bypass PBSSs in a number of ways. They dont catch all the hackers by a long shot.

I am not one to moan ... but I am pretty damn sure something was fishy there.

Hiding on my own, behind cover, no one around to spot me, very well hidden, A10 comes along and take sme out with dead on accuracy on the first run.

Once or twice you would think, Ok, fair game.

1 Million times, combined with all of the other people complaining ... pffft!!

Had to deal with this kinda sh!t the other day. Same map, same server, different people. Dude went like 120/2 or something and the deaths were just from TKs for the A10. Once he got in it, no one could even touch him. Would peg individual insurgents in the most random locations. I would go waaaay off somewhere nowhere near any CPs and try to hide and the A10 would show up, drop a few bombs and be on it's way.

Beleive me there is a way to render PBSS USELESS, yes I said it USELESS. No, im not going to post how.

Maistros said the commander spotted you going under the bridge and he kicked for calling people names etc and that he warned you 3 times before kicking you.

I have to put it up because I have been dissed for explaining it (trying to explain it)

(removed)

These people must be violating some sort of legal thing with the end-user agreement when installing these games. By enabling people to essentially and selectively reverse-engineer/reconfigure elements of the game logic to their needs - it is a legal violation and I wish EA games would fucking crucify them.

edit::
the jackalkernl - don't pop an apoplexy - how hard do you think it is for someone to find on google ? I removed it because an admin politely asked me to.

EA really doesn't care as long as their main audience is still playing and buying their endless it seems expansions they will not do anything.

I haven't had experiences like you but it sucks.... as an insurgent you should be able to hide from the US airpower in buildings and under bridges..... these whores should be banned.

Maybe an explaination by Maistros is deserved, and if Smitty is correct... an apology. Speaking for myself, I dont cry "Hacker" at the drop of a hat. To be kicked for trying to keep the integrity of PR at its pinnicle only to be punished deserves something.

They absolutely care... just not enough to cover the legal fees for the endless hours they will spend in court.

That site that someone posted I am amazed they haven't gotten sued by Valve at least. I still find it sad that people have to feel powerful by cheating. Also matt good point though EA has more than enough money to win.
