Im sure this has been posted before but i was wondering if the molotov cocktails will be fixed from looking like smoke grenades

haha just be glad the icon is fixed... quite a few times in .4 i tossed one of those thinking i was getting a smoke grenade

I'm sure they will be in time, but the DEVs have probably been busy skinning other things.

The situation is that a model for the molotov has been made. however, it needs to be animated and implemented properly.
ETA would be .7ish.

They aren't usefull anyway, a direct body hit doesn't kill and sometimes doesn't even cause serious injuries (coughing)

Yea I wished they could be improved, but most of all I wish they would do more damage to vehicles.

It should be in .6 I don't see why it wouldn't be. The problem was it didn't get skinned, and we just kept forgetting about it =P

I've had one thrown at me, and I was just like "wtf is going on?". After I realized it was a Molotov I just walked away. I had a little damage, but I was a medic so I healed myself.

One other thing I noticed. When you throw them, it looks like two separate things have been thrown. I see two of the smoke canisters flying through the air.

Molotovs have pretty crappy damage for what they're worth. They do burn people alive... But it seems a direct hit just acts like a little spark.

Skinning is different from modeling. Check KP's thread on the MP5, and you will see what modeling is, and check Geze's thread to see what skinning is.

Modeling- Takes forever, very hard to learn.
Skinning- Takes photoshop, and creativity.

If we have the model already then it shouldn't be hard to skin. GEZE!!!

I'd also like to see their damage improved.

As it stands, it seems like they're more of a threat to YOURSELF as an insurgent then it is to any USMC. I've tossed them up on small roofs with USMC and had direct hits, only to be killed by those same guys seconds later.
