I like the no side arm for most classes. Obvisouly the sniper class will need 'em though. I think it would be cool if there was a way that only Squad Leaders would get a side arm. Oh, and of course if theres a pilot class, give them the side arm aswell.

I say not a dedicated class, but a "you click on squad leader, and you are a squad leader class" sort of thing.

course this may be screwy for pilots who want a squad.

The only problem I see with a dedicated Squad Leader Loadout which you get only if you become a SL, is that im sure people will just start thier own squad just for the kit, then either lock thier squad, or pay no attention to anyone that joins.

I like Solo's and Fig's idea for the officer. If it is possible to make a class by creating a squad (thus becoming squad leader). Also, if everyone was a squad leader and they did get preticular assigned weapons (like Solo said) then obvisouly your teams side would be pretty crappy since you wouldnt have any medics or engineers and so forth.

The squad leader would take on the class something like Infantry Officer. Also, I'm sure there could be a limitation on how many squads can be made.

You can also make it so that you can't make another squad untill the first squad is full or has x amount of people in it, i think.

FH has a really complicated system they are gonna use to make classes work, but it balances everything based on how many players there are and what map it is and other things, go to their forums and read it

there has to be a pilot class, change the helmets but there needs to be a class, maybe they can have bucket hats on when they arent in planes/choppers (since they get them on when in the plane) since if a pilot is shotdown hes not gunna have a telltale helmet on (although youd tell by the flight jacket)

At one time (maybe they still do issue them) for survival and evasion USAF pilots were issued with a reversible boonie hat (olive drab green on one side, fluorescent orange on the other) in their survival vest.

Also, I think the Stetson may still be authorized for helicopter pilots in Cavalry units.

well whatever theyre called you get the idea haha but the main point was that hating the helmets isnt a reason to get rid of a much needed class.
