Resting weapons on surfaces

Do you think that being able to rest your weapon on certain surfaces would be possible with the BF2 engine? If you have ever played Red Orchestra, Im kinda aiming for something like that. Maybe each weapon could have some coding like the stationary MG guns that could be deployed on say bunkers or surfaces. Just a thought.

I'd like it just to be able to see over some objects. I don't know how many times I've come up to a piece of cover, proned, and then saw I couldn't see over the cover, so I crouch instead, and realize only my shins are protected.
But, it ain't gonna happen.

lol I was just thinking about this last night. A wall that crouching you can't see over, but standing up your screwed from the waist up.

it is really sad after looking at all these good ideas that people suggest that have been done in other games, that they cant be done in BF2 because of the engine. Is it me or is there just something professionaly wrong from a business standpoint with that. Good job DICE.
Back to topic though, i think this would be a great addition kinda like the RPK's that are mounted on sandbags but then you ask how much field of vision do i have and how is my recoil/accuracy then going to be boosted?

or just give everybody rambo capabilities then searching for surfaces would be long gone.
